I've been working (for quite some time, if you can read the date in the corner of my sketch...see? no motivation) on a large plush dragon for my nephew for his rapidly approaching birthday.
I'm at the point where I've made most of the pattern. Cut most of my pieces. And even started sewing a couple parts. But honestly, I think I'm feeling discouraged before even really starting because I feel like this project is really ambitious....which, as I've mentioned, ambition is not bouncing around in abundance here lately. So I guess haven't really been jumping in with both feet.

I was just thinking about you today. I have missed your posts. I still have to catch up with your crocheted rug tutorials. I missed them when I was on vacation.
Yaaaay!!! :D He looks so cool! I hear ya on the no motivation lately.. I'm in the same boat. I just wanna do normal day-to-day things and nothing extra unless it's yard work. lol! Can't get enough of being outside now that it's slooooowly warming up!
Your vacation looked beautiful, Diane. Glad you're back. :) I know - I couldn't believe that I was going to let a whole week go by w/out posting so I had to share something. Hope this will keep me going...
Lizaaarrdd! I hope Devo doesn't mind getting a late present from his bum of an auntie. ;) I can just not get going on this guy!
I love your style! I look forward to seeing this little guy come to fruition. He reminds me a bit of a little dragon I knit one time.

Making presents for my nephew is the motivation for many of my projects as well!
I actually am very impressed by this! Yes, ambitious, but sometimes the planning takes just as much work (if not more) than putting it into action. Even the sketch looks so well done and thought out. And like anything, it's a matter of taking one step at a time. It looks like you've got that down pretty well even if it doesn't feel like it. You planned out what you want, you're almost done with the pattern and then you can go from there! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished project so you can say, "I did it!" And because it is going to look really, really cool. :D
Thanks, Kimberly. :)
Becky, that is so sweet! And you make sense. Total sense. Your words mean a lot. I'm going to stop procrastinating right NOW and go get a couple more things done on my dragooon!
